Oracle Price Feeds

Zap Protocol has released multiple oracle price feeds on the Binance Smart Chain Testnet. Our goal is to drive a new wave of decentralized applications on mainnet this quarter! Zap Price Feeds will allow us to power financial tools such as algorithmic stablecoins, cryptocurrency options, lending platforms. Currently, we are focused on building infrastructure for DeFi tools and assets on the Binance Smart Chain. Moving forward, we plan on supporting DApps on multiple chains with our price feeds and oracle network.

To achieve this goal, Zap Protocol recently launched the Zap Oracle Network provides 44 price feeds in total with 15 cryptocurrencies and 29 foreign exchange currencies. The data feeds are pulled from APIs provided by Coingecko, Caricom, Coinbase, and more. The team intends to add more price feeds gradually over the following quarters to expand our oracle ecosystem.

Zap Oracle Price Feeds are reported by a network of miners who secure data and information for decentralized decision-making. As shown in the image below, our price feeds have a tipping mechanism that is associated with the payment of requests.

Mining Events

Users of the Zap Platform can view all miner transactions and values conducted by the Zap Validator Network on the new Zap Mining Events page. Data such as the current price exchange, last updated timestamp, block number, rank, and previous miner values are displayed. This gives our users the ability to verify all miner values in the Zap Oracle Network in real-time. As we continue to enhance our oracles, we continue to research intriguing use-cases and unique features for our network.
